Marina Plastics combines decades of material expertise with established North American manufacturing partners to help OEMs and Tier 1s move from concept to production part.

Marina Plastics has grown from a materials and consulting partner into a source for finished plastic components. For years, customers have relied on Marina Plastics to solve material challenges quickly and to support component design and engineering.

Working alongside proven manufacturing partners, we help our customers develop, tool, and produce plastic components — while providing the same responsiveness and material insight Marina has always been known for.

VDI Manufacturing

Injection Molding

For molded plastic components, we work with VDI Manufacturing, a veteran-owned custom injection molder. VDI maintains an on-site, ISO/IEC 17025-accredited metrology lab and supports PPAP for production programs.

Their capabilities include:
Custom injection molding on all-electric presses
Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and mold-flow analysis before tooling
In-house tooling and rapid prototyping, including 3D printing and aluminum tooling
Assembly and post-mold decoration, such as pad printing, annealing, and labeling
Automation and shot-by-shot process monitoring

Vintech Industries

Roll Forming, Plastic Extrusion & Fabrication

For extruded, roll-formed, and fabricated components, we work with Vintech Industries, an established automotive seal-and-trim supplier. Vintech operates under an IATF 16949 quality management system.

Their capabilities include:
Plastic extrusion across a wide range of profile sizes
Variable-profile extrusion in PVC, TPO, and TPE
Co-extrusion, including metal-insert co-extrusion that combines plastic and metal in a single part
Roll forming and roll-form co-extrusion
Secondary operations, including bending, welding, cutting, and notching
In-house tooling and product design

Our Expertise

What sets Marina apart is where we start. As a specialty-grade materials supplier — including engineered additives such as Silaplast™ — we bring material science to the component conversation from day one. That means we can help evaluate resin selection, processing, cost, and performance alongside the part design, not after it.

Quality & Standards

Our manufacturing partners operate under recognized automotive and quality standards, including IATF 16949 and ISO 9001, with ISO/IEC 17025-accredited metrology and PPAP support available for production programs. Certifications are held by the respective manufacturing partner.

WORK WITH US

With offices in Michigan, California, Mexico, and Brazil, we are regionally located and very responsive to customers who need material support fast. Also talk to us about engineering, design and FEA services, plus production tooling and capital equipment.
